BLOG DAY # 105 in a day of my life. BABYSITTING-A chore or Heaven on Earth?

Up at crack of dawn! Not something new for me-rather it is sleeping in for my internal clock! Was a busy day. Got ready for church that would be outside in the Church Garden at 8:15 AM.

OH! I forgot to tell you that today is all day with the twins day!




YES, WE ARE TAKING CARE OF THEM ALL DAY!  7:45 AM to 6:30 PM.

Momma and Papa are spending the day river rafting and biking at HARPER'S FERRY W.V. !!!!!
It is a much needed get away by themselves time-and we are excited that we get to spend quality time with the girls-Taylor & Cassidy!


So, after saying goodbyes to Mom & Pops- off we go for our 8:15 AM church service. Jenny & Gerhard- Marcus's parents, will be there to help with the girls during service. It went extremely well, right up to communion. Jenny had to serve , so Gerhard and I took the twins for a walk inside the church. Just let them go and followed along. AAHHH! There is a nursery. And in we go.  Gerhard goes back for communion and I stay with the attendant and the girls.

All went fine- Church is over and we head home- first we stop at our local farmers market. The twins are a hit- everyone is looking and talking about them- they just go from tent to tent.

Now we head over to their house where we change their clothes , diapers and head for our house to do the same. Open garage door and they both head for the little cars with the push and control handles. TIME FOR OUR WALK TO PLAYGROUND!

Clear blue skies, hardly any breeze, and it is HOT! The sun is baking us-almost 90 degrees at 10 AM. !

But we walk, pushing steering the little cars, trying to find as much shade as we can. Finally reach playground, out they climb- head fro playground? No, wait a minute, all they do is switch cars and put their little hands on the steering wheels and look at us.

NO PLAY GROUND TODAY! THEY WANT TO RIDE IN THE LITTLE CARS! AFTER ALL-IT WAS THE FIRST THEY HAD SEEN THEM!

Well, back at the house- it is now snack-lunch time and both are hungry. They do not like sitting in their little chairs that we have, they prefer to sit on our counter stools, their little heads just above the counter, kicking their legs and smiling when grandma says stop kicking the cupboards!

Now it is 12:15 PM, back at their house, both are sleepy, time for afternoon nap, and grandma's also! LOL.  Put them in cribs, Taylor goes to sleep right away- Cassidy decides to sing and talk to herself for 10 minutes.

It is now 1:45 PM, everyone is awake! They are hungry again. So we fix some snacks, and put them in the stroller and take a walk over to the town center. They want what they call JUCIEY'S! Its their Juice Plus Gummies, we give them the packets. "OPEN PLEASE!" they both say at once. They do everything together, change one messy diaper and you will change the other! they stuff the Gummies into their mouths, "MORE PLEASE!" Okay, but this is the last. Both look at us and say "MORE PLEASE!"  time for a distraction. Walk over to fountain, wash their hands off with water. Didn't work. "MORE PLEASE!"  Head back for the house, almost 4:30 PM.

They are hungry! How can such little people eat so much!!!!! okay, grandma fixing supper, grandpa has Taylor- Cassidy hanging onto grandmas legs, she loves her grandma, clinging to her all the time.

Finally , at 5:15 PM dinner is ready and both are eating- Mickey Mouse is on with no sound!
At 6:15 Cassidy has been done for 1/2 hour- Taylor still eating- where does she put it?

All cleaned up- sitting on couch-both girls looking out window and laughing and pointing. MOMMA- DADA- jumping up and down-door opens, off the couch- onto their little climb and slide- down head first on the slide-back up and down again. so excited and showing off.

Its 6:40 Pm and they are home. WE HAD A GOOD DAY-AND WE HAVE A GOOD LIFE!

THIS WAS A FIRST - BEING GONE ALL DAY- AND IT WAS GOOD FOR THEM ALSO.
NEXT WEEK WE WILL ALL BE TOGETHER AT THE BEACH.

BEING GRANDPARENTS IS THE BEST JOB IN THE WORLD-STILL DO NOT KNOW HOW THOSE LITTLE GIRLS EAT SO MUCH! WE HAD FUN-WE ARE TIRED-THEY ARE BUSY-DO NOT KNOW HOW TAMMY DOES IT DAY IN AND DAY OUT. AND IT CONTINUES AFTER MARCUS COMES HOME FROM WORK, HE HAS TO HELP, RIGHT UP TO 8PM WHEN THEY GO TO BED. IT WAS A PLEASURE AND WE ARE GLAD THEY HAD THE TIME TO THEMSELVES.

A BEAUTIFUL COUPLE WITH BEAUTIFUL LITTLE TWIN GIRLS-LOVE THEM SO MUCH! HAVE A GREAT DAY - BECAUSE WE HAVE A GREAT LIFE!
