BLOG DAY # 103 in a day of my life. FRIDAY NIGHT ROCKS!

     Last night, after a long day at work, we all went out to Herndon , to join Marcus's family, and ROCK THE NIGHT AWAY! Every Friday night, there is a live band , in a park setting, bring your own food, but not beer or other beverages,you can get a wrist band, WITH ID, and sip your night away , listening to COOL 60's-70's-80's and beyond music in your lawn chair or blankets. I would venture to say, there was 500 to 800 people there.



Here, Madison, Cassidy , Debby and Taylor, relax on the lawn, and Debby's Bacardi & lemonade made the music all so soothing!

This lasts for 4 or 5 hours, depending on what time you get there to claim your own little private spot.



Here was our little spot of heaven, lawn chairs, blankets, cooler as a table, kids moving about, a way to unwind your week and sit back and enjoy family and friends.

Gerhard- Marcus's father-chilling out to the sounds of 60's music- the draft beer nice and cold!




It is really neat that we live in an area, that within 15 to 30 minutes, on a Thursday-Friday -Saturday, we can attend any number of these events. Ours will start next week with Thursday evenings of music and entertainment every two weeks. And the best part- IT'S ALL FREE!


Family and friends just enjoying each others company- talking- seeing people you have not seen in a very long time- the hustle and bustle left outside- and tipping a couple to the strands of your favorite songs of the past.

Yes, we had a great time last night bonding- Family-Friends-In Laws. A great place to live in Northern Va. Only wished we had come here a long time ago!

So today is a new day- another memory packed away to be drawn upon and looked at sometime in the distant future.

A blog is a wonderful place to store history-someday- when I am gone- the KIDS will be able to access all of this, and the memories will leap out and they will say " LOOK, I REMEMBER THAT-THEY WERE PLAYINF GRAND PA'S AND GRAND MA'S MUSIC!!!" hOW COOL IS THAT!
